SSSI Issues, Mitigation Charge & Nitrate Neutrality – As all of you are most probably aware, the Norfolk Area has been struggling with the SSSI issues, fortunately both North Norfolk District Council & Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council have now made significant progress which has meant that our 2026 meets at Wells & Glebe School Hunstanton can go ahead once the Landowner has paid the relevant Mitigation Charge.
Nitrate Neutrality areas have also now been resolved, which once again currently opens the whole of the Norfolk Area for camping. However, under the Nitrate Neutrality Rules ALL ELSAN & GREY WATER WASTE must be collected in a sealed WASTE MASTER type container at the Unit & then wheeled across to the defined Disposal Point and emptied at that location ONLY. This will include Motorhomes etc. as well. Unfortunately, the Mitigation Charge & Nitrate Neutrality means that the extra costs involved may need to be reflected in our Site Fees accordingly. To Book any of our Meets & THS’s please contact our Booking Officer Pauline Neal on 07549489182. For the latest updates on any of our Meets & THS’s please check on the Norfolk BCC Webpage www.norfolkbcc.co.uk or the Norfolk BCC Facebook page - Norfolk area British Caravaners Club, along with the main BCC Facebook page where updates will be posted when available.
